    The one I used a couple of days ago was 03301234151, that was faults, but its automated and gives you various options

    0800 800 150 for BT customer services.

    It will just tell you to redial 03301234150 i think and therefore you get billed for the call

    The 0330 number(s) are offered so that callers do not have to pay premium rates for calling 0800 numbers from their mobiles.

    0330 calls will either be from 'inclusive minutes' or will cost whatever a standard 01 or 02 call costs.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
