Just left my job, should I do anything?

I've just left my job. I'm taking a long holiday in a few months for a few months so not planning on working (except for a load of DIY). I doubt I'll qualify for any benefits as I live with my working partner and have a reasonable stash of savings.
Should I be doing anything now? NI contributions? I hope I'll be getting some tax back as I was PAYE, do I wait until the end of the tax year?
Thanks
