Tax Credits 01355 number

Hi, just got off the phone with Tax credits and had a rude woman (surprise surprise)

Just thought it was weird some of the questions she asked, she said something about data from experian, and then asked my mothers maiden name, who my mobile provider is with, and my last childcare provider, and then said she needed to set up some passwords, which were my first holiday destination and the colour of my first car.

Then she took my updated details I needed to give her.

Anyone else had this??

I called on the 01355 number as kept getting cut off on the 0845 number. She told me off for calling on that number as its the international number.

Yes I had this happen, it's perfectly legit, and it's so that in future when you call in you only have to give the passwords, rather than having to reel of your NI number, address etc...

As for the number I had read on here that they don't like you to use it, so for the sake of a few pennies I never have had the balls to!

Oh good, set my mind at rest. I do prefer reminiscing about my first car and holiday I suppose than repeating my boring National Insurance number. Bet they don't have many pink cars on their answer sheets!

And next time Moo, just take a deep breath and call, whats the worse they can do! Hope they haven't put a note on my claim saying 'trouble making, wrong number calling girl, delay claim!'
