Halifax Reward Account - £50 offer

FYI
I was offered this in store - you do not have to go through Moneysupermarket.com to get this bonus.

Also, having done it both ways, I found it much simpler to apply in store than online!

Cheers.

    No worries.

Having said that.... I've not seen the cash yet!

I think it's the same deal - you need to switch all direct debits and credits etc.

Someone new posts randomly about Halifax giving £50 away.

A halifax worker, then immediately replies saying "oh wow I didn't know that!"

Then immediately the person replies saying "no worries".

I wonder if the 2 had the same IP address :D

    Mate,

I don't know the other guy, just so you know haha.

I work at Halifax but have never heard of that at all. I knew we had a switching service but not about the 50£.

As i sell the products, it could help me with promoting it!

    So cheers.

They keep the £50 thing fairly quiet - you try to find anything that mentions it on their website!

So the fact that someone who works for Halifax doesn't know about it is hardly surprising. If it's not offered in their branch/department, then they wouldn't necessarily know.

My OH has banked with the Halifax for quite some years and at the beginning of this year he changed to the reward account (not ultimate reward) and my name was added to the account.

The Halifax gave me £25 for allowing them to transfer all of my DD's and also another £25 for notifying my employer of new bank details.

Jeez you try and help a brother out

I only mentioned it as I saw on here that you got £50 if you applied through Moneysupermarket.com
That application process proved such a ballache i ended up having to go into a branch to sort it out, where I was subsequently told 'you could have just come in here in the first place and got the £50 offer'. I did ask why they don't promote that anywhere but she shrugged it off.

People always assume spam and trolls on here, it's terrible to be honest!

Hopefully, they will publish this a little more.
