Buying skincare (Boots No7) on Ebay

Has anyone had any experience of buying skincare on Ebay? I was after some Protect and Perfect serum, and there are a huge number of sellers, including quite a few top-rated sellers, selling two tubes at less than the price of one in Boots. I've found a couple who have a lot of good feedback, but I still have the 'if it's seems too good to be true...' thing in my mind. Has anyone bought No7 from Ebay?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Don't forget the £5 off vouchers Boots often do. It can sometimes be worth people buying them for the Boots points when you add all the vouchers in together.

Or they use Advantage points to buy & sell on Ebay for real money.

Haven't bought, but I have sold No7 stuff on ebay in the past. Sadly the Boots grabbit thread is no more but when it was around there were people who made a full time job out of how to get this stuff for next to nothing thanks to various offers/vouchers/till glitches etc. That's probably what it is. Isn't the large bottles of P&P on 1/2 price quite regularly anyway? And No7 whole range is on 342 every other month.

Buying cosmetics on eBay is a bit hit and miss.
I personally only buy stuff that is otherwise hard to find and from sellers with excellent feedback.
The difficulty is how to know if it's genuine.

I would make sure that the item is sealed, asking the seller if it's not clear from the description.
I would also check their returns policy (e.g. do they refund return postage) as some items are easily damaged, even when well wrapped in jiffy bags (had that with nail polish more than once, I expect skin care to be equally problematic). Although eBay has the same rules for everyone, some sellers still try it on stating they don't accept returns.

I have been scammed with fake P&P stuff and never buy anything like that off ebay anymore - half their stuff seems to be fake I'm afraid.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like I'll be going to Boots- No7 did have a 3 for 2 last time I went in, I just didn't really want to spend £40 at the moment (but not much point ignoring the 3 for 2). A lot of the stuff on Ebay is so cheap that you couldn't get it to that price with vouchers etc, so it does make you wonder. Incidentally what happened to the grabbit thread? I'm presuming it got shut down?

A quickie to say that I have been buying my No.7 prodcts on ebay for years now. I'm a bit of an ebay queen, haha. I've never had a problem with any of my beauty products from ebay sellers. Price are normally great, at least half price, sometimes more. I can't afford to splash out at Boots regularly, so I love ebay.
