re moving back in together student loans and grants

Hi all,My partner and I split 18 months ago, in this time I have started a ft uni course. I get grants and loans etc i also have a job as i have 3 kids to support.

Anyway..recently we have been getting along great and we are exploring the possibility of him moving back in. After discussing this with one of the women at uni she has told me that (after being in the same situ) if he moved back in prior to the start of the new academic year i would need to pay back all my grants for 09/10 as he earns a decent wage.

Is this correct? if he moves in at the end of July I would need to pay back all my grants for a period i havent been with co-habiting with him? Obviously i would need to tell SFE that i need re-assessing for next academic year but i cant understand how his income can be taken into account when he hasnt been here?

We are due to go away for week on a few weeks with the kids as a kind of 'make or break' holiday so if all went well we would like to get back together as a family immediately after the holiday. If we cant work things out then the children and I would move out as the house is in ex name and instead of him paying child support we have stayed in the house and he has paid the mortgage (cant see due to negative equity)

I have tried to call SFE but haven't been able to get through to them as of yet!

Uni person is wrong. It'll come into play for the next academic year, but not now.

If you wanted to get it spot on, you'd declare his income and the moving in date, and support would be recalculated on a pro-rata basis for 09/10.
