Finishing "end" of coving

Hi,
My plasterer has almost finished re-plastering all the ceilings in my house (Was woodchip effect artex before)
In the main bedroom, I am having sliding wardrobe doors fitted
The frame for these is in place, but neither of us was sure what to do with the coving.
Currently, it just abruptly stops at the edge of the frame.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to neatly finish it off?
I have an image, but as this site counts me as a "new" user, it's not letting me put it up.
Would someone mind PM'ing me, and posting the image as a reply? So people can better judge what i'm talking about?

is that the final edge of the frame? if so then just fill the small gap and "fair" it off smoothly to match the profile.
or is there any door gear to fix there?Get some gorm.0 -
2 ways to do this
- Continue the section of the coving right to the vertical member of the frame
- Cut back the coving at 45deg from the lower edge of the horizontal member of the frame to which the coving is butted. Fill cavity

This is how one corner of coving is finished in my bedroom
Or this
Or this
I would have thought that the ability to terminate coving neatly was a primary requirement for anyone who is a plasterer. I hope that the pictures give you some ideas.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I would do this.0 -
So would I, G42.
27col's coving looks neat but 'odd' to me. (Sorry just a personal preference thing and what you're used to I suppose)
I think this kind of thing is another example of how things are done differently in different areas. I've not seen coving angled at the end before.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I must live in the same area as 27col, mine are like that ,but I also find them 'Odd'0

What is being described as "odd" is the normal way of terminating what would, otherwise, be an open end. Its called a stop-end and is just an external corner. G42's idea looks nice but Photoshop is one thing - practical is another.

We usually drop the head down around 250mm for a continous finish, looks better, but the doors have to be made to measure.0
