I have wet radiators, Everything is electric we have no gas, oil or LPG.

If the wet radiators are wired into the radio telemeter (using the old THTC fusebox), and Hydro are happy with this your laughing!! Remember ALL your supply off that meter will be getting charged at the cheap rate, including your shower if thats wired in and the immersion heater if you still have one. The radio telemeter may have a sticker on it saying what the tariff is....if THTC itt'l say Total Control, and probably have a two digit area code number on it.

There is a down side in the cost of your domestic, you can get it a lot cheaper on other tariffs, so it's a bit swings and roundabouts.

Normally Hydro would reccomend an Eco10 meter for electrical wet systems, so I'm surprised your on a THTC tariff. Without checking on your meter and seeing how it's wired in myself I wouldn't like to comment further, (Dundee is way South of me so thats not possible) if you could post a few pictures it may make things a bit clearer.

As for billing £150 a month sounds a lot, but for an all electric property thats probably close to the right price if spread over the year (remember you'll be using LOTS of electricity in the winter)

It was suggested that I go on ECO meaning I would have 10 hours of reduced rates but another CS rep said that due to the amount of fuel I used then that tarriff wouldn't be as beneficial.
My DD is £150 a month but after the winter bill (March) we now have a £900 debt. The Hydro want payments increased in excess of £200 (thats almost half my pension for the month). I will take a couple of pics in the morning and post them.
They haven't hassled us for this debt (not yet).
Yes, I believe the heating is wired into the telemeter (I don't know if its the old one though). The hydro say I get cheap rate heating for abaout 7 hours or so and some of that time is during the night.

We haven't been using the heating system for weeks now (trying to reduce the debt) and over the past few days we've used the calor gas because its been so cold.

    Thanks for your interest

Oh Vicky I do sympathise with you! I too live in a cold house. I'm sure it was built on some ancient Druidistic ritual sacrificial/burial site, it really is unnaturally cold!

I hope you don't end up like me, sleeping in the lounge and sealing up the bedrooms because it costs too much to heat them!

Strangely though, I love my house, it's my home.

Hope you get it sorted soon and sorry I don't have anything more constructive to add.
