hi,
i'm looking for some advice, some members of my family including myself recieved gift vouchers for xmas for a spa.
i rang the spa the other day as voucher lasts 12 months, no number exhists and it seems the business has closed down, my son has been to the premises and the place is empty, no notices on the door etc, i wanted to ask does anyone know what we can do to get our money back as we have vouchers for £75.00 each for a treatment.
surely they cant get away with this.
thanks
sue

Theyre not getting away with anything, providing they just went into liquidation there is nothing fishy.
Its just unfortunate and you have little to no chance of getting any money back, let alone the full amount.
To get anywhere you need to find who there administrators are and register as a creditor. However you will be way down the list of creditors so will receive whatever is left one all other priorities are paid off. Of course that could be nothing.
Just see this thread for and idea of how little unsecured creditors get....

The purchaser of the vouchers may have some redress if they paid by credit card or visa debit card.0
