I run an action group.
I am a lawyer.
I am bringing a class action against anyone who stands still long enough.
Send money so that I can proceed.
You will get it all back when I am successful.0 -
Buying shares in a company is investing. By investing you are taking 'some' risk. Some companies who were listed on the stock exchange have gone bust leaving investors with nothing. I can however have sympathy with the B & B shareholders, many of whom stumped up extra cash when the further shares were issued, I guess you don't think that the B & B could have got into trouble. The Government IMHO had not option but to take the bank into public ownership. A sad story all roundLiquidity is when you look at your investment portfolio and **** your pants0

And if not... he's fleeced you! In which case you are now worse off if you hadn't actually 'bothered'.
I would steer clear from any 'contributory' action group (unless you can afford to lose it). If your shareholdings were 'negligible' then allow others whom have 'more to lose' to fork-out the bill.

Oh dear Mr Eskimo!
You really are in a bad way if you couldn't see that I was extracting the Michael!
You gotta lighten up ...0 -
Sorry le loup, just a bit of a touchy subject. I'm very defensive about it at the moment. Kind of like a thorn in my paw atm, seem to have lost my pride as well as my shareholding.
It's funny you mention action groups actually because, unfortunately where ever you go these days there is always someone trying to make money out of others' misery.
I feel gutted tbh. For everyone.
The only people that 'benefit' from it are the 'legal team' - even then then can pretty much charge what they like, rendering any sort of 'compensation' to cancel itself out (unless you could include legal costs and pursuit in your claim - at a push).
Sorry again. My bad.Young At Heart and Ever The Optimist: "You can't sell ice to Eskimo."

Eskimo,
You clearly don't understand what you're talking about.
It's a shame, but please, for the sake of yourself, give up. I promise you that, while you may be in the "right" in your head, or even morally (since when has morality applied to equities?) from a cold, clinical, legalistic, pedantic, corporate point of view you're 100% in the wrong and will remain ever so.
Maybe you can join the socialist workers' party now. Or otherwise work towards this never happening again. I won't stop you. But for the sake of yourself you need to let this go. The money is gone.
Sorry.Sig to go here...0
