Item Not Delivered - Now what?

Hi All

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere but i can't find anything on it. An item i've sold on Amazon has not turned up at its destination, despite being posted nearly 3 weeks ago. I'm hoping I still have my proof of posting somewhere.

What next... who claims from who and do we both effectively get our money back. Its the first time its happened and I'm a bit confused.

Thanks

this happened to me but the item took 5 weeks. I had already made the claim, the buyer was relieved to get the item and said thanks and stated he wanted no compensation as he felt the game was cheap enough anyway, royal mail paid me and when i said it had been recieved they just said keep the money as we would have to give you most of it anyway (£15) for delayed mail.

so does this mean that I claim, pay the other person the money, as it hasnt turned up and I loose the value of the item?

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here
  • You give them a full refund then claim it back with your proof of posting (IMO).
This has happened to me a few times now (2or3 times) and that is what I have done, Buyer was happy Royal mail paid me and then I was happy.

Thanks. Just hope I can find it. As I hadn't heard from the buyer I thought it had turned up weeks ago.
