LCD monitor power supply

Can anyone recommend a decent supplier of power supplies for LCD monitors?
It needs to be 19v/3.16 amp, for an iiyama prolite E435s.
I have a couple on ebay I'm considering, but I'm not that impressed.
There are some being sold as originals from China, but I could do with it in the next week.
There are 19v laptop power supplies but the connectors are too small.
I've also had a look at some of the universal types, but once you are paying £25+, I reckon a new monitor is a better investment.
Apologies if I don't reply straight away.

Move along, nothing to see.

I'd be wary of buying a PSU from Ebay from China. They can be cheap and cheerful or unreliable and deadly. not always though. In fact the notebook charger i'm using now is one.
you might consider looking for a second hand one. people break monitors and sometimes sell what they can like the psu. There's no guarentee you'll find one but you may be lucky.
PS the same goes for laptop batteries if anyone is reading this.
Its not always a good idea to buy these chinese imports, and when they claim to be original always check the wording as they can twist them better than Peter Mandleson on a waltzer and turn out to be "like original" or "as original"0 -
Didn't quite manage to convey my scepticism,There are some being sold as originals from China, but I could do with it in the next week.
, but I agree with you re quality etc.
Plenty of used ones but nearly all 12v, not 19v.
She's borrowing a monitor for now, so the pressures eased.
However, I've found a free 18.5v/3.5amp, laptop charger, but, I need to find the time to swap the connectors.
If that doesn't work out, we'll have a closer look at the used ones on ebay, around £15, with 99%+ feed back.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Although I wouldn't recommend swapping any connectors and fiddling, if you were going to, I'd open up the psu end and solder the old cable directly. Thats if you can open it, and you know what your doing around them capacitors!
As I said though, I wouldn't be embarking on this venture myself. Good luck anyways0
