cleaning stainless steel switches and sockets

when i was painting my house i used masking tape to protect some of the light switches and sockets. however, on some of them the tape has left a bit of staining when ive taken it off.

whats the best thing to clean up the switches with??

I find fairy power spray brilliant at cleaning pretty much anything.

I second that.......................I used to own a 6 foot x 6 foot stainless steel tool box and to get all the oily and grubby marks off I used baby oil as rca 779 suggested, came up a treat, try it and see.

Adhesive remover, or WD40, then follow up with baby oil.

If you dont have baby oil try using baby wipes my sister swears by them to clean her stainless steel cooker.

I used to have to baby oil the stainless steel ticket barriers at a railway station (only when we got a phone call saying managers were coming through ...)

Don't think we got a COSHH data sheet for it though.
