does anyone know if you can make dairy free pastry? eldest DD is vegan and sooner than having her eat seperate mincepies to the rest of us i thought i'd try an egg and butterless batch to see if i got complaints from anyone if not i can do a huge batch and fill the freezer with those.

I made my chridtmas cake using noegg egg substitute but ive never tried using that for pastry yet.

    thank you

There are margarines that are vegan and suitable for pastry. Off the top of my head the best one is Pure it's in all the supermarkets ;) Remember to leave out the suet in the mincemeat. I'm not sure why you would want egg in the pastry -I've never used it:)
