Hi
i have recieved a letter telling me that i have received a overpayment on my housing benfit totaling £730 they have told me that i have to pay it back to them within 6mths is this true and how do i fill out a income expenese form for them

I had the same thing happen to me the other week. I told them that i could only afford £10 a month but they're taking £10 a week off my housing benefit! Even this way its going to take two years to pay off so i think you should worry about paying it off within 6 months.
Just a thought but have you actually been overpaid? I have appealed mine as they haven't sent me no calculations as to how they worked it out, Local council are renowned for making mistakes!0
