Renting in Hull.......help

Hello all,

I've probably posted in the wrong section but i am in need of some advice. I will be moving to hull to work next month and was wondering where is the best place to rent. I have heard beverley is nice and cottingham is ok. From reading online news i read hull is not a very nice place to live........ Any advice would be most welcome

    Where is ur work based??
AVOID all the avenues !!! Avoid around city centre / Infirmary area.
Cottingham, Beverley and Victoria docks are good to rent.

Hull has a bad press imo. My best mate lived over there for uni plus a couple of years of work so 5 years in all. He lived in the flats on the waterfront. Was very nice lookng over the Humber.

It's a top night out and some of my best nights out have been there.

Like anywhere there are good and bad places but nowhere you'll get mugged during the day or beaten up.

I did take a wrong turn down the housing estate next to the university. My god it's bleak.

I survived numerous times up there.

My sister lives there now, she's in cottingham. Nice place too. :)

For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!
