Uswitch Crap Customer Service
About 3 weeks ago I tried to switch my Gas and Electricity supplier for the first time after hearing all the stuff in the media about how easy it is. I used the uSwitch site and Atlantic came up cheapest. I went via a link on this site for a free bottle of champagne.
After two weeks I hear nothing. No confirmation e-mail, which is unusual, no contact from them whatever. So I ring uSwitch. Typical call centre person answers the phone, couldn't give a toss, we're busy at the moment dealing with stuff from a few weeks back. He was unable to confirm my application.
Still not heard anything after 3 weeks so I ring again. This time I went through the uSwitch recorded menu, then the recorded music, then just when it sounded like I was about to be put through I was cut off. Tried this 3 times then gave up.
How long do people think I should wait before trying another comparison site . Will it mess my Gas and Electricity supply up I have two different applications to change suppliers in the pipeline? Are uSwitch usually this crap?

Hi there.I think i used uswitch and they seemed ok,but it was a while ago.I switched to Atlantic and it took a little while before i heard anything.Best thing to do is contact Atlantic direct,as i did .They were very helpful and gave me an idea of the timespan involved.Give them dates of when you applied and they should be able to tell from their records if they are processing the application.
I would forego the champagne and let Atlantic deal with your application if they have not been informed.You will save more by getting on with it.I think champagne is over rated anyway! Give me a nice cool cider any day!!0 -

Thanks, for the replies. I am used to crap service from internet companies but at least they should be able to send an automatically generated e-mail confirming my application and stating what kind of timescales are involved and what the process involves.0
