Is this open ground? Either way, you've still time for some more crops this year! Try spring onions, lettuces, or fast-growing carrots. For the latter, I'm following my first early spuds with sme of Suttons 'Ideal' baby carots which are quite quick to mature and would do in either open ground or a container.
Good luck!0 -
I grew spuds in black morrisons buckets; the very best i got was 1lb from 1 seed potato but the others varied from probably about 100g to 300g. So sounds like you did pretty good! Already planning next year's!0

Ive just dug some of mine out and the yields are low. They got hit by the late frosts which i think damaged the plants resulting in less potatoes.
They where lush to eat tonite though!!!0 -

They look very tasty!!! We also dug some of our first earlies this week, Lady Cristl, they made a lovely frittata. Well done you!
Often we'll buy a seed potato mixed pack from T&M, just to try something different in a small amount. We taste test all the varieties, which is very enjoyable. This year we bought a full size pack (20 tubers) of Ratte, an heirloom variety, which we really liked (they taste slighly of chestnuts) but sadly the slugs adore them - so 'every little counts' as they say!0
