Costco - worth joining

Hi there,
Costco will generally be cheaper than the supermarkets as they only mark up by an average of 15%, and they have a maximum mark up of c18% (can't remember the exact amount) above their purchase price from suppliers.
The Grocers mark ups will vary but will be significantly higher!

Where Costco can be dearer is when the supermarkets have a bogof or half price promotion.

If you're buying for a family I can see the sense in taking out a membership but I wouldn't as I'd be buying for one.

hello...we are off to join this afternoon...they have a portocabin u can sign up in and u can have a coffee and muffin...sounds nice

weve joined ...in a hut in the carpark in coventry...had coffee and cakes and got a handful of vouchers...cant be bad...really excited about it opening now
