Extended Warranties - Nationwide Credit Card 12 Months Free

I can't remember where I saw a post on a similar subject, but today I rang Nationwide to check if my credit card gave me any warranty on purchases, and was advised that they give an additional 12 months to the manufacturers warranty. Simply a case of ringing a number and giving them the model and serial number.

Would be grateful if anyone who has used the Nationwide warranty can give some feedback.

Used to use the Barclaycard scheme they used to run so its it anything like theres it should be pretty good

I bought a hoover washer dryer with my nationwide credit card 13 months ago and registered it for the second year guarantee. Anyway two weeks ago (about two weeks out of the one year guarantee) the dryer stopped working. Anyway I got on the phone and an engineer was with us in a couple of days sorting the problem out. Therefore I would highly recommend using your nationwide creditcard when purchasing electrical appliances for the home.
