    Hi
    I would suggest:-
    Pack a box and put in it loo roll cleaning stuff, kettle, mugs, milk tea and/or coffee as you will need it!
    Make the bed up as soon as you can (moving is knackering)
    Make sure you redirect your mail
    Contact Council tax to tell them you moved in and on what date.
    Have a party!!
    Enjoy

    Party sounds good! :T

    Unlikely. Not everyone likes laminate flooring, especially not some of the really cheap nasty stuff that has been badly laid in some of the properties I've viewed.

    Decorate to suit your tastes, not for potential resale value before you've even settled in ;)

    Also your telly license. Sky telly/bb or cable telly/bb might take a while to be installed so it might be worth your while ordering them now. Don't forget to go via quidco to make some savings.

    Sky = £80 cash back - http://www.quidco.com/sky/

    Virgin = £65 cash back - http://www.quidco.com/virgin-media/

    Also use this Wickes voucher code to get 15% off when you spend £50 or more - MAIL3E33EPEP8L

    Thanks Ditto. Not going for Sky or Virgin but am trying to set up my O2 broadband via topcashback.co.uk but unfortunately it's not working due to the credit card not matching my address. I've changed it so the only thing I can think of is that the system is getting confused with the way it is on their system. My address is Flat ## <house name>, <street> whereas on the o2 system it comes up as <House name> Flat ##, street which may be confusing things :(
