Connect a spare LNB output (if available) from the Sky dish to the TV satellite input socket. You will then get BBC HD and ITV1 HD.0

As you've got Sky+, you'll have 2 spare outputs on the LNB. As above, just run another cable from the dish.Dave. :wave:0

Original Sky+ installations only had a dual LNB that why I bracketed 'if available'. As the OP does not state what LNB is on his dish we don't know if there is a spare output.0

Or get a Sky+ HD box from Sky with self install, its free, you will have to pay an additional £10/month for a minimum of 12 months.
Listing of HD channels here:

My apologies. I was under the impression that all Sky+ installs put a quad LNB on the dish.
Assuming the OP got Sky+ sometime in the last 6 years, they should be OK.Dave. :wave:0 -
I also had very similar problems, with HD TV but no spare feed. I circumvented it by connecting line 1 of sky feed from the dish to a coaxial switcher I bought from Maplins for £7.99, here:

You would also need a few coaxial F-plugs, cheap here:

Read how to use f-connectors, here:

This will allow you to switch to the HD channels (BBC-HD and ITV-HD) on Freesat, and if you are recording just one programme, still record it on the Sky+ box. I fould that this switch does not cause any discernible loss in signal strength or quality. Hope this helps.0
