Bronnie - def consider the avon peel pads as they will be a good maintenance between peels as well, and you may feel you dont need to do any more peels if your skin responds well to the pads..
look it up on eBay - Avon Anew Clinical Advanced Retexturising PeelWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

I haven't seen anyone mention the line of peels that Skin Laboratory carries. Most of their peels come in different strengths, which is nice...you can work your way up to a stronger strength. I'm too nervous to try a TCA myself, but Skin Lab has the BHA and HQ+ peels that are quite similar. I believe that these 2 are going to be closest compared to the TCA, but without the downtime that you get with a TCA.
The website (skinlaboratory.com) is quite informative and helpful too.
Hope that helps......0 -
So I got an Alpha-H started kit this week after reading these threads. My skin already looks more clear and feels smoother. I am using Liquid Gold at night and Rejuvenating Cream and a factor 50 moisturiser during the day.
I also looked at those peels on ebay from Forever Young. I have emailed her asking about peels while using Alpha-H products twice but no reply.
So should I have a peel while using Alpha-H products or is that overkill?
I get a bit of acne and have oily skin so from what I understand I should use Salicyclic acid.I have realised I will never play the Dane!
Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!!0 -
I had a AHA this morning at Skin - they had an offer as Id had my line filler there 3 weeks ago. I dont think its the proper thing you are talking about. £35 instead of £79. It does sting yes
I did tell her one bit on my cheek bone was particularly stingy and she bunged some stuff on. Its got a little red mark there now but Im guessing that will be ok by tomorrow morning. She was telling me something about Innerpeel being good and another one beginning with "J"? cant remember now.
Hethmar, I dont know if you will see this as its an old post - there is another special offer £33 at SKN through a Groupon type offer. How long did the effect of your peel last - could you see the difference for just a few weeks or several months?
Started a new thread on this but Bron referred me to this.0 -
Hi Bronnie
Great thread. Glad your salon treatments were so successful.
For maintenance you could try some simple treatments with homemade recipes. Not peels as such, and obviously not such dramatic results, but they follow the same basic principles. You might find them ok for "in between" salon treatments.
I will dig out my recipes and post them on the Summer Solstice thread - have been meaning to do this for a while.
I'll try and do it tomorrow.0 -
Thank you LL that would be great.
I follow your thread as you probably know (!), so will read with interest!
