I'm not thinking of Christmas yet...honest
Apologies if there's already a thread on this: Because I can't just let a plant die, I've been nursing a poinsettia from last Christmas. It's fed and watered and looking strong and green. I recall something about keeping it in the dark to get it to turn red for Christmas. Any advice for when/how I need to do this?

I'm going to give it a try, what's to lose!
Would pruning it be just keeping it in shape or 'pricking out' like with tomato plants to encourage sideways growth?0 -

Time and effort. I hope you succeed, but the 'experts' make it sound easy .
She did prune the plant.0 -
Apologies, just realise you thought I meant that your wife didn't prune hers.
It was more a question about how to prune.0
