Dla medical advice

Options
Im having a home medical for my dla renewl next week and im a little nervous.

From researching on the internet im under the impression they are going to ask me to walk and try and touch my toes etc.

Now my question is. i had pertheres disease as a child in both hips which where left my hips severely deformed i have less than 40% movement in both my hips and sugger chronic arthritus in both hips too.

For me to attempt walking causes me extreme pain and difficulty my hips are very stiff and sore attempting to walk will not only cause sever pain at the time but will leave my hips in more uneeded pain for some time after, as does getting up from a chair to attemp walking.

Are you seriosuly expected to endure this sort of pain during theese medicles?

I feel like i have to subject my self to this pain, other wise they will just write down i refused to walk or something.

Im really very worried about this now, do i bare the pain and suffer for a couple of days after due to attemping to walk, or do i tell the doctor it would be to painfull for me to do that task?

IM just worried if i tell him/her it would be to painfull for me they will write, he refused to walk and refused to bend down etc which will look bad on the report/

I think you can refuse to walk and explain it's because walking does leave you in chronic pain.

My heart is telling me to do this... but another part of me is telling me just to do it this one time, but then i think why should i put my self though pain to prove anything

Has anybody else found them self in this predicament? i may evern explain to the doctor, attempting to walk will cause me alot of pain and discomfat, do i still need to go ahead?

Just a warning i got turned down at my renewl for this very reason, i refused to walk due to the amount of pain walking would cause me.

The doctor wrote, mr blah blah refused to walk and i see no reason why he could not walk.
