Yay something i can comment on - i live in Worcester.
There is the Travelodge - Never been have heard the familiar horror stories. Good points - right in the town center, bad points - you have to pay quite a bit for parking as their car park is one of the cities.
You might be able to get one of their 'cheap' rooms, but from doing some research in the past.. they are quite hard to come by at Worcester.
Premier Inn - I can't comment without being biast (sp).. i work there. What i will say is i know its clean and cheerful. You can definitely get the rooms on special offer (people managed to get them last night).. make sure you either phone the customer contact center or go on the internet to book and ask specifically for a special offer room, and make sure your booking 21 days in advance if you do go to PI. Bad points - Its not in the city center but it is 3.2 miles away (exactly :P) its also just off the motor way.. and from staying there myself due to some snow.. the road noise isn't that bad.
I'll chuck some names of other good hotels.
The Worcester whitehouse, the fownes hotel, the digilis - all in town center but meant to be expensive.
The pear tree inn (smite).. is supposed to be good, average price - a little out of Worcester though.0 -

You could always get a b&b in one of the towns along the railway line that goes to worcs. Its not a long journey from say, evesham or pershore (malvern or ledbury might be a bit more expensive) to worcester but its very convenient to get the train to worcester shrubhill or foregate st from there.
I haven't been to worcester for a couple of years (my last g/f lived there) so I'm not sure about accomodation.0 -
I live in Worcester - the Travelodge is very central but very basic from what I have heard. There are lots of B&Bs about and most of them are in the city centre. If you go to the Tripadvisor website, type Worcester England in the search box and then click on Hotels and the B&B/Inns tab, there are plenty listed along with useful reviews (I would post a link but it won't let me!).
Hope that helps!0 -
Being someone who has to go to worcester on business, I would personally avoid Diglis house. I found intimate body hair in my bed and the cleanliness of the whole place left a lot to be desired. I couldnt bare to walk on the carpet of the 2nd room they gave me but at least the bed was clean0
