Silver Surfer needs help re. MP3 player

My hubby has bought his first MP3 player, a Sony NWZB 153B CE model. He wants the songs he copies from his PC to go onto his player in alphabteical order. He can get his list on the PC in alphabetical order but when it copies to the MP3 player the songs end up in a random "order". Any ideas please?
TIA

The song go on in all flavours ie Artist, Gene, Pop, Classical, Date, Composer, 90's Music, classical, Albums, etc. I'm sure there must be something to keep him happy ?

Tell him not to use any music software to copy/sync his music to the player.

He can just drag and drop (Copy and Paste) the music from the PC to the Walkman using My Computer.

Then the files on the Walkman should be a mirror-image of what's on the PC and in order.

It works for me on my Walkman.

Thanks for the replies. The drag and drop suggestion sounds favourite, Dreamnine :T, we'll have a go. Cheers

I've found that dragging and dropping a bunch of files together sometimes puts them on in random order, (might be size or creation date), even though they were in alphabetic order when selected.

My MP3 then plays them in the order copied.

Copying indicidual files works but it's a pain.

But copying them into a folder first, sorting the folder alphabetically by clicking on name, then dragging the whole folder across seems to work perfectly.

Of course you're right - folders work best.

Each of my Dylan albums is a folder, and all 29 are in another folder marked 'Bob Dylan.'

I can then drag & drop Bob Dylan and it is the same on the Walkman as on my netbook.
