Accepted Payments At Costco?

I joined today, and we were told that the non member could pay with cash only.

i am not a member but i go regularly with a friend who is a member and i pay for my purchase with my debit card with no problems

Gaia, that will be a right pain in the bum if you need to return anything as its only the person who's card the purchase was made on that can return the items!

I can confirm I've paid by cheque before and they don't need your guarantee card, as long as you're a member.

So regarding payment, if a card is used then does the name on the card have to match the Costco card name? Even if the Costco member is present?

Also do they accept cash? I have always paid by card but if my sister in law wants to go again then it is easier for her to pay in cash than me pay then her pay me back as she always gives me a cheque when she owes me money (and she doesn't use internet banking) & I work nowhere near a bank which is a pain!

i go to costo alot and u can pay with cash or card visa/debit card etc
ive used my card and my wife as used mine aswell u can pay with cash 100% i hope this has helped
