I brought new flat from Barratts Homes. When i making the deal, i asked sky point in master bedroom. i asked the builders number of times make sure there is a sky point when they building is in construction. i got confrimation from site manager that i got sky point. When the flat finished i checked the main lounge got two sky points, one tv, one fm/dab and one rf pont then i checked the bedroom i got one rf point not sky point. i asked the builders where is my sky point, they saying sky will interloop from lounge to bedroom so i get multiroom. is this true ?
Can i get multiroom in bedroom with this arragement
Any help appreciated
Thanks

You are being lied to.
Multiroom needs separate satellite feeds to each room, one or two feeds to each depending of whether you are taking standard sky or Sky +, and a separate Sky receiver.
Does the block of flats have a communal dish?
The arrangement you have would let you have a RF feed/ magic eye to the second room, so you can view Sky from your main box, but only watch the same programmes as in the other room. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
yup, you have no Sky point in the bedroom, as with all these things putting wiring in during construction is very easy and negligable cost, puttting it in afterwards is awkward and usually expensive.
If you got it in writing as part of the contract/deal you should be able to hold them to it, if you got nothing in writing you'll have a very uphill struggle.0 -
Thanks for info
Yes flats got communal dish.
i got written deal that i getting sky point in the bedroom. I will speak to the builders.

Just watch they don't try anything sneaky, you need two feeds for Sky+ and very likely need to keep both these in the lounge. If they simply move one of the existing ones you'll lose that capability.
You really need at least one new feed in so you'll end up with 3 in total for Sky+ in the lounge and basic sky in the bedroom, you might want 2 additional feeds to get full Sky+ functionality at both locations (tho it could probably be argued do you really need to record 2 different channels at once and watch a further 2 simultaneously.....)0 -
Just a thought, make sure you check you have two Satellite feeds in your main room as per jasX post.
If Barratts have done the job on the cheap there may only be one.
Also do you really need multiroom? It will cost you another £10/month, both boxes must be connected to the telephone line.
If there is only you in the flat then the magic eye could be a cheaper solution.
One of these:-
It connects via the RF2 output of the Sky box, the magic eye allows you to control your receiver remotely.
The downside is that the feed is standard definition only and mono sound.
