Perhaps the thinking is that it would lead to a large increase in queries.
The points are normally disclosed if you are appealing against a Work Capability Assessment, they are usually included in the papers sent by the DWP. That seems to be the only time they are routinely sent out by the DWP.

Anything over 15 is a 'pass' and most under 15 are 'fails' though DM's have been known to change WCA score upwards to award 15 points.
People with 0 points have won on appeal and people with 12 points have lost. Telling someone they got 0 might discourage them from even appealing. It used to happen with IB a lot going from my experience.0 -
My lad got 6 points for being unable to kneel and rise, but nothing for walking ability (he was adjudged able to walk at least 200 mtrs, despite not being able to weightbear on his right leg and awaiting knee surgery!).
