Buying a property - does it matter what's next-door?

I've had a look at a property which turned out to be next door to a funeral directors...would this be a problem for BTL? Would people mind living next door or would it make it hard to rent out?

It will put some off because of what it is.... it will put others off because of the 24/7 nature of the business. They collect bodies at all sorts of odd times.0

I wouldn't rent it - I prefer my neighbours to be alive....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Hi
Wouldn't bother me as long as they didn't ask me to sign for any deliveries.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0 -
You need to know how busy they are - as has been pointed out bodies do turn up all hours of the day and night - usually accompanied though, but that adds to the noise.
If you don't mind about the idea of it though, then get on with it.0 -
Looked at a lovely house [unfortunately with a structural issue] next to a graveyard once. Loved the idea that we would never get a football in the garden from the neighboursHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I would rent it if it fitted my needs, dead folk dont cause any hassles, I prefer my neighbours to be dead or at least 1/2 a mile away from me.0 -

I wouldn't be so sure about that, England played as if they were dead (tired)...0 -
In my area the streets around the cemetery are quite popular, probably because of the contrast with a rough neighbourhood.0
