isle of wight ferries are the most expensive ferries in the world per mile travelled!!!!!!

for that short 4 mile crossing it will cost around £45 for a car!!!!!! or i think it is about £8-10 pp on foot!!!

i will warn you when you get over there it iis expensive!!!

mr divadee went with our daughter last week and a 5 minute bus ride for mr divadee his best mate and little miss divadee cost £5.50 single!!!!! for the 3 of them!!

so £11 in total to get to and from the ferry port!!

shop around for the best prices, but i doubt you will get to many good offers!!
  • Red Funnel are the cheapest and the most comfortable car ferry company. They have a 5 day short break return on their web site at the moment for £37.98 for a car + 4 passengers. But you don't need to stay the 5 day's , you can come back earlier if you want to.
The journey takes about 10 minutes longer (Wight Link rarely birth on time in my experience) but it's worth it as the ferry is much nicer and it's cheaper too!

Good things come to those who wait......... but the best will be taken by those who got there first ;)
