    Practical parenting.

I Subscribe to the pampers parenting club emails.Just sent me an email saying they have taken over this mag and offering 50% discount on subscription for a short period.
  • Happy shopper: I'm afraid so! See above. However, I intend to get around that by going to debenhams, boots and John lewis and getting a different palette in each store. ;)

Thanks - I really should read the posts properly! ;) Ah well, can't complain, it's just a shame for those people who don't have a Benefits counter within easy travelling distance. Do you think they'll make you have the make-over? I don't really want it!

Welcome! Could you tell me some more about the free haircut, please? Is it only at certain places etc.?

Haven't seen this particular offer but have done a few before.
They are usually run by either TLC or the Hair Group.
Basically it is only selected salons who are trying to get new customers.

I have had 3 free haircuts so far and they've all been good at decent salons (had a half price colour in one as well so sometimes there is an offer on that if you have it done at the same time.).

Some people have problems in that they don't get contacted and there is only an expensive number to ring.
Some people get problems with there not being a salon near them.
But many people get a genuine free haircut.

Whether there is a salon near you depends a lot on where you live.
There are obviously more in London that in more rural areas.

Can I also ask for the link for the coupon for extra points at WHSmith when you spend £5 to also go on page one. Spending £5 on mags this week would be very easy!

Well I gave it a go last night after work, I went to Debenhams, House of Fraser (not john lewis!) and Boots, picked up a palette at each, was only offered the make-over once and I politely declined as was in a hurry to get home, was in a and out within 3 mins, now have 3 lovely Benefit palettes!

Also, if they say you must have a make-over to get a palette just ask them to read the page, it does not say that and they can't make you. I think one girl on another board said they made her have a make-over and just went for the hard sell.

Hair magazine, not sure what issue date it is(sorry) but costs £2.99 and has a free pack of hair bands and a brooch worth £4.99. Wasnt tempted to buy it as my hair is too short at moment to tie up, but might be useful for someone else!

Real 27th October issue, £1, has a free 32 page magazine with real life features.
