  • If it's a whole chicken you MUST defrost it first.

yes you can cook from frozen but there are a few satey issues with this i myself would never do it myself

1 if you cook it too slow it will harbor bacteria and it will become unsafe levels
2 you will not cook it though causing food poisoning

there are more but im not going to harp on

like i said you can but dont quote myname if you kill someone i myself would NEVER do it
    you cant change yesterday
but you can make tomorrow better
  • so is it all chicken without bones you can cook from frozen then?

Unless the instructions are torn off, all packaging on chicken (and all other poultry) will say DEFROST thoroughly before cooking. I always get it out the night before and leave it on the side in a coolish room.

I know that some of the convenience chicken stuff can be cooked from frozen, like chicken burgers, bites etc but I'm guessing that's because there's so little actual chicken in them anyway!;)

It's not worth getting VERY ill, it really isn't.

I often cook stuff from frozen - just put the container in hot water for a bit first so it starts thawing, then empty into a pan and put on a low heat. Make sure it's heated through thoroughly - bring to the boil and simmer for a bit to be sure. Add extra liquid if necessary.
    Enjoy!
