Cook from Frozen?

Options
Hello everone, my September Grocery challenge started today and I have been doing some batch cooking.
lots of Chicken Curry and I hope Liver casserole, I was just wondering, when I go to eat these next week, should I defrost them or just bung em in the oven?

I did try searching for an answer! Didn't find a specific one, but loads of new tips!!
Thanks in advance.

  • Weeell, I usually chuck it in the fridge the morning I need it so that it is defrosted by the evening when I want to cook it, but I have done it before now where I've just cooked them from frozen, just ensure that they are cooked through and piping hot! I'm doing this tonight, got a tuna pasta bake that I forgot to take out of the freezer this morning so will be cooking it from frozen!

That's the right way to do it:
1 Because a slow defrost prevents ice crystal damage but much more important here
2 Because you spent money freezing it so get some of that back by cooling the fridge as it defrosts.
    Cheers
