i posted here probably a year ago about my staffy cain whi was a pain in the bum.
just to update....he has had a stroke. just over a week ago he looked allwonky and the vet confirmed he had had a stroke. poor boy.
his tablets will cost £50 a month. have him minsuted but unsure if we can claim for tablets. no point in claiming for the vet visit as we are only £15 down from the excess.
saturday last week we thouight we were going to lose him he was that bad [day after seeing the vet] ut he is now taking his tablets and is more livlier. he is also partially blind bless him.
he is now eating but had to put him back on chum as he wouldt eat dry stuff so assume he has lost the chewing ability.
and sadly, after my moans about him and his barking, he is now the prefect dog. how sad is that. although today he perked up a hell of a lot and barked at !!!!!!all for a bit.
poor doggy.

Sorry to hear about your dog, but glad to hear that he is responding to treatment.
I think your insurance should cover the tablets - my son's staffie has a problem after breaking a leg and will have to take tablets for the rest of his life. The monthly cost of the tablets is more than the cost of the insurance, and the cost is covered. He is with petplan.
If you are still unsure, give your insurer a ring xI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
poor lad - so sorry to read this - but also very glad you kept him - at least he is home where he feels comfortable and safe, not in a rescue, or a less familar home. Enjoy the time you have with him, I hope he makes a good recovery and has no further strokes.0
