Me and hubby are planning to go away for a couple of days in the new year before our first baby is born. So being a MSEr I would like you to tell me about the cheapest and best deals you have had for weekends away in the UK to help spurr me on in getting a fabulous deal.
Where did you go what did you do? and How was it so cheap? What codes, vouchers, point schemes did you use.

Our cheapest break was with Shearings. Self drive to the Waverley Castle Hotel at Melrose, 3 nights bed, breakfast and evening meal for £89 each. The hotel was comfortable with coffee and tea making facilities, and the food was really very good. Entertainment in the hotel every night.0

Did a sun 9.50 break - got there to be offered an upgrade - declined as on a budget, and ended up ina brand new caravan anyway. Result. Cant stand Bingo, but the otehr half thought it would be a laugh so played and won £100. Paid for the weekend away and a few beers!
Depends how cheep your weekend needs to be - do you want a little luxury or just cheep? Travelodge do some good deals if you book in advance0 -
Can you go abroad? When is your baby due? You may only want to go in the Uk, if so where abouts are you as you may not want to travel far.
My husband and I have just booked a trip to florence for less than £90 inc flights at http://www.travelcallbreaks.co.uk/
I saw this on an email from http://www.travelzoo.co.uk who send you an email every week with there top 20 offers from different companies if you sign up. Trouble is I keep seeing to many good deals and I want to go to the states now.
What I will say is get a holiday in before you have the baby, we love our son but miss those weekends away!0 -
We spent 3 nights in a 5 star hotel (including B&B AND dinner) in Stratford Upon Avon for £100 [covered two of us]. Gotta love Lastminute.com miss-prices... To be fair it was obvious it was probably a !!!! up, but the hotel honoured it...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200

We are in West Sussex but are happy to travel up to a couple of hours (maybe a little more if near our family in Essex). I didn't really want to go abroad as we can't go away until the neaw year (hubby is in retail) and by then Iwill be pushing towards the 28 week stage when it becomes trickier to fly.
If this helps, but I may chexk out some of the ones you'vr all mentioned toojulybride
