Are there any obvious reasons why we keep loosing sky TV ,get a message no signal being received(which i appreciate is the reason)
could it be the box or the dish or something else, its happening alot.
The dish and box are about 5 years old,the tv less than a year old and works fine on freeview.
Thanks in advance.

first point to check would be the LNB on the dish ( the bit that looks like an old style bike lamp) if you can reach the dish you can buy them cheaply from ebay

also check the F-Type connector that screws the cable onto the LNB, you should not be abel to see a gap between the connector and the cable and good pratice says it should have this tape round it

  • Try checking the connections on the back of the sky box sometimes with moving to dust they do become a little lose (strange but true even though its a screw in connection) I have had same issues in the past with mine and it was all down to the connections at the back of the box.
