Festival Restrictions

Been very organised this year and bought some discount festival gear including small folding stools. I've since been told you're not allowed to take these in the arena but have to buy them inside. I can understand restrictions regarding alcohol but how can they justify banning stools? Is that allowed?

It should tell in the festival info section what you can bring into the arena section of festivals. The usual exclusions are alcohol, water & food (the vendors have paid fortunes for the pitches and need protection). I've never heard of chairs being excluded, just the advice being that sitting at the front is not recommended. What festival are you going to?0

Yes, i did check and it does say on their site no folding chairs and bizzarely no inflatable chairs either....0

That'll prob be because of Jay Z getting chairs chucked at him a few years ago then.....Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0

Must be a T thing then. I've had a look at Reading/Leeds, Sonisphere and Vfestivals and no mention of chairs there either. There are no restrictions either at the 4 festivals that I am attending this summer apart from instructing/advising punters to remove chairs from the front when they get crowded. Though you would be fairly stupid to try and sit down when your space is coveted by tens of thousands of people.0
