Help Re tax credits please

Hi.

Just a quick question really. At the moment my partner works full time and earns about £200 pw, I work 16hours and earn £80 pw. We claim working and child tax which totals at £54 pm.

Iam returning to work full time (40hours pw) tomorrow. I will be calling the HMR and want to know what to expect. My wage will be £200 BEFORE tax. My questions are..

1. Will we be entitled to any tax credits?
2. Will tax credits stop straight away?
3. Will we keep our NHS exemption cards (free healthcare etc)
4. Can I claim for 1 days childcare pw?

Thanks for your help in advance. Lauren :)

Unless your income increases by £25k this tax year from last your tax credit entitlement for the year won't change based on your income alone, so they will continue, it will only have an impact on 11/12 award. Your exemption cert is valid until the date shown in anycase. You can make a claim for ccc up to £175 for 1 child or £300 for 2 (max 80%) per week, but it does depend on your income.

Will still recieve the exemption cert as it is based on last years income unless the current year increases by £25k (same as tax credits). It will only be when this card expires and if next year you declare your income for this current year as being higher than £15276.

Thank You for this, a few people told me we may still recieve them for a while but didnt believe them! Also glad about the NHS exemption as OH has to have teeth out soon and was getting worried about how to pay for it! :)
