How Long to Wait for Uswitch/Atlantic?

Ok, so I've been onto Uswitch and Atlantic came out as the cheapest for me.

So I put in all my details to switch over from Powergen about 2 weeks ago, and got an email from Uswitch confirming this, but no communication since.

Is it Uswitch that I deal with from this point, or have they done their bit, and I should now phone Atlantic and see what the status is? Or, am I just being too dam impatient and should wait my turn?:o

Thanks :)

  • I moved into my house on 18 July this year and applied to Atlanic that day (via MSE/USwitch) and got my letter last week and will be moving supplier next week (from npower --> Altantic)

  • I also used uswitch on 14 August to switch to Atlantic.
Their e-mail talked about waiting for 2 weeks. So after 3 I was beginning to wonder.
But waiting 2 months is bloody ridiculous. What have they got to do? Its all electronic so why the delay?

Has anyone had a better experiance?

Six weeks is standard operating procedure. When I recently switched over to Atlantic, I heard nothing until about 4 weeks in, when I received a 'postcard' reminding me I would be switching over soon, then the welcome pack/dd confirmation/meter reading card all came a couple of days before the actual switchover.

I would imagine there is a bit of a delay with Atlantic right now, with the whole country going switch-crazy ;) and them invariably coming up cheapest in the comparison sites. Let's just hope they don't put their prices up by too much in January.
  • Thanks everyone for your replies. I'll be a bit more patient then and see what happens. I will hopefully save about £85 a year with Atlantic, so it should be worth a little wait I suppose! :D

    Thanks again
