Hi there :hello:
I'm starting my PGCE at Reading Uni in a few weeks time.
Are there any other PGCE people around?
If so, have you had your Student Loan notification yet? I'm still waiting for mine.
thanks

It should be coming in the next couple of weeks if you applied by the date they set down. Do not worry they can just be slow at these things.
Best of luck and I hope your PGCE year is not too bad for you:beer:0 -

I usually have to apply late, so I'm used to waiting. Somehow it feels like its taking longer this time around though. I'd like to know now because I want to feel a bit more organised.
I bought a few books from amazon marketplace. I'm trying to get through a few of them, but I'm not going to worry about it too much just yet. My course doesn't start until the 18th of September.
What else have you done to prepare for the course?0 -
It took mine awhile to come through, i would think you'll have it this wk or next.. Off to do PGCE @ Institute of Education in London.

I've got quite a few books. I got about half of them off eBay at the beginning of the summer holidays. Lots of people who had done the course last year had put them up for auction. I just had to be careful I was buying the right edition.
Some look more readable than others!0
