Hi i don't post very often, but OH wanted some info on how to clean our chimney. We had a fireplace put in this time last year, but it now needs sweeping.Any ideas on how to do this as the fireplace is fixed in place. We have contacted chimney sweeps but had no luck so far. He's thinking about doing it himself but not sure about the correct way of doing it,as it would save us money we having got, lol.

I do mine - its fairly straightforward £30 for a set of drain rods and a brush - already have an "industrial" vac
Saves £30 a chimney - we burn wood and need sweeping twice some years and we have 2 so £90 around saving a year for me
Easiest way is to watch a sweep do it and copy him next year !TANSTAAFL !0
