Switching to Atlantic
I have conflicting results when using the price comparison sites
Money supermarket say I will save £16 per year with Atlantic but energyhelpline say I will save £123, who is telling the big porky ??? I know energy helpline say the 13th month rebate is included in that price (is the £15 insentive too?)
ARG !!!!!
Im with powergen at the mo.

Atlantic came up with the best for me as well with quite a big difference in the prices. My current supplier is npower and i tried to work it out by using my current kwh per annum then muliplyin git firstly for powergen for their rate for the first so many kwt then the rest and did the same for atlantic. I worked it out to exactly a pound difference!!! So i then assume that if its over 13 months for atlantic the one month is free so in effect I will save whatever my monthly rates are. It was quite complicated but I think i worked it out correctly!0

I have no idea how they work these things out but I found Atlantic to be the cheapest also with the 13th month rebate / cash back... go Atlantic..!!!

In the Atlantic T&C's it states that:1.1 We agree to supply energy at the premises you have specified. This is on condition that you do not already have a contract with anyone else to supply you with energy there (unless you will have ended that contract before we start to supply you).
I also get conflicting results when using different comparison sites.
I calculated that we pay about £370 in electricity per year. USwitch does quite well and estimates our annual spend at £360, whilst simplyswitch estimated £295! This obviously affects the results of the comparison, but USwitch (since they estimated better I'm going with them for now) reckon I can save about £70 by switching to Atlantic (or £6.31 according to simplyswitch!) so it's definitely worth the effort switching. Plus £18 from Quidco of course-- £2 coin savers club = £90 (£84 banked) --0 -
Be wary when using these sites, they are paid commission when customers transfer and may put certain companies (possibly paying the highest commission) higher up the pecking order.
They may also be slow to reflect recent price increases.
If you are going to use a comparison site, make sure it is endorsed by http://www.energywatch.org.uk/
Links are available from that site.:money:0
