Hi.
Signed on proper first time on the 23rd June. i asked the advisor when the payment should hit my account and he said Mon 28th. I checked my bank account today and it went in on the 2nd July, this seems like an age to clear is this normal..?

It should be 3 working days from the day you sign, it probably wasnt processed when you signed on for the first time?0

Well it was a change of circumstances, that all got processed and i received a giro.... i spoke to the lady who done the actual processing because she phoned me up to let me know it had been done. I gave her my bank details there and then and she said she made the changes and my next payment would be into my account which it was. For some reason though it took nine days to clear..
Does it legally have to be in your account within 3 working days..?. What i mean is, is the bank obliged to clear the payment within this time or can they take in my case upto nine days..?0 -
I think it is more likely to be the Jobcentres fault. It sounds like they hadn't properly sorted your claim which means its stuck in no man's land until its flagged up on a report. Next time you sign, ask what day your last payment was issued. If it wasn't the day you signed then it is the Jobcentres fault. If it was its your banks.0
