Toronto - cheap flights and accommodation?

Options
I'm looking for cheap flights for Toronto, at pretty short notice(end of this month). Can anyone give me any advice on where to look and where I can find accommodation? This would be for about 10-14 days. Also, feel free to give me any advice on places to visit while there.

The cheapest accomodation I have found is All Days House 3 which is in a good location, with shared or private bathroom. Reviews are generally pretty good. I am heading there this week so I'll let you know ;)

I dont want to sound dim, but this is the first time I am personally booking a holiday(I'm only 18), so I am unsure about budget.:o Maybe you can give me some tips about what you would consider an appropriate budget for a first time holiday. Thanks btw.

Toronto is a fairly expensive place for accomodation. Most hotels start at $120+ a night downtown. You must have some idea of what you have to spend?
As you are quite young, what about hostels? They are not for everyone but are much cheaper (around $30 a night for a dorm) and you will meet heaps of people and there is usually activities organised. Try www.hostelworld.com for an overview of whats available.
Alternatively Bed and Breakfasts are quite popular in Toronto and might also suit your needs at a cheaper price than a major downtown hotel. Try www.torontobandb.com.
All days house that I mentioned was the cheapest well reviewed hotel I could find, at $60 plus tax a night. It is in Bloor-Yorkville area and near the subway so I am hoping it will be ok. Toronto is so big that, like in London, you can't really stay in one place and see absolutely everything without catching transport etc.
