But by the sounds of things they are still carring out the same work on other properties, and they will be classed as work environments, hence why a word with the HSE wouldn't come amiss.
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

So I probably should still call HSE aswell. Ill call them and see what they say. Better my time wasted by checking than someone getting hurt.

Your first duty is to get it reported to the HA (as you have). They will get it fixed. As others have said the install is wrong and corners have been cut. All HA should have a means whereby tenants can have a collective voice. This avenue could be explored and used to identify if this is a common error and in need of corrective remedial action by the HA.

You need to make a nusiance of yourself to get a satisfactory outcome.
  • A similar thing happened to me.
First of all keep all the evidence, rawl plugs etc. Take photos of the cupboards, wall etc. I claimed against the HO using a no win-no fee solicitor and won.
It isn't a case of what happened, it's what might have happened.:j

As it stands the HA arent aware as yet as it was an out of hours number I called so I have to call the HA tomorrow morning for her. I have never rented from a HA so have no idea what facilities they have but dont worry I shall be making a nuisance of myself.

I have also took lots of photos and will be keeping the fittings that were used to hang these cupboards. This is not about a claim though, what on earth did you claim for. In this case nothing has been lost other than a broken table and maybe a couple of jars of food. This is more about the safety of other people and not pound signs in anyones eyes. Peoples safety is much more important.
