A&L Premier Reg Saver opening while opening their PDCA

Hi there,
I applied online for A&L's Premier Direct Current Account (that gives you 5%) before they pulled their product on Sunday. I requested to switch, and on the application I requested that I'd like to open their Premier Regular Saver (6%), and keyed in I'd like to put in £250/month on the 3rd of each month (which cannot be changed). I also filled in the details of the bank account that I'd like switching from.
Today I received the Welcome letter for my current account, and also another letter for Internet Banking (my 8 digit ID). On the Welcome letter it showed my current account number and the linked PlusSaver account.
I rang A&L's customer service, and they said they can only see my PDCA and Plussaver but not my Premier Regular Saver. Is that normal?
They suggested that I call their Current Account opening team, but it was closed (the automated voice mail said open from Saturday 9am to 6pm but although I called at 4.15pm!)
So, are they only going to open the Regular Saver after I switch... or is something behind why they did not open the Regular Saver for me?

Plus saver comes with the CA by default (and is useless). Likely your other savings account is a separate process in the application and will show up soon enough (but who really knows with these guys..)0
