Morning all - Bleurgh here as well - woken up by DS at 1.15 this morning - he'd been at Uni last night in central london and despite the TFL website saying that the underground was still running - it wasn't so he had to walk from Hyde Park to Liverpool Street - quite a nice walk in the daylight but not that late at night in the cold!!....... and dressed in a suit and tie and proper shoes rather than Jeans, sweatshirt and trainers.

Anyway - hope you feel less bleurghy as the day goes on

Still bleurgh, but at my desk now so need to slap myself a bit and get on with it!

Se, sorry you are unwell - I hope you feel better soon!

Surfbabe - that story reminds me of the day I did my first stockbroking exam. The tube was on strike, and my BiL told me that it was "a short stroll" from Liverpool Street to Westminster. I did manage to get to my exam in time (just) but am sure that the other candidates were very pleased that there was a branch of Boots nearby so I could buy deodrant as I ended up running there! Needless to say, I have not trusted BiL's timing advice since!

Just spotted the 'latest mse news' about the double value instore Tesco promotion starting next monday, normally I've not used it in the past, but with the Deals going to 3 x, might switch to that now instead of restaurants, as there's normally some vouchers online or in newspapers for various restaurants, so might work out better.

Well the contact 400 kicked in, so feeling the best I have since it started last Friday. Even bothered about what I wore, black ankle boots, slim fit black trousers and a bright red fitted Tommy Hilfigger shirt I bought years ago at TKMaxx (it's still looks like new despite lots of wear), the shirt matched my Rudolph nose perfectly :rudolf:

Hope others are starting to perk up too :)

Sorry to hear that you are feeling not on top of the world, people. Interestingly enough I seem to be an exception this time - over my cold (took zink and washed nose with salt), waiting eagerly for my shoe iserts so I can start running again, have already done quite a bit of work (bless mind mapping and all the clarity that goes with it), dacorator getting on (will be without kitchen during the weekend but feeling calm about it). Boring really - but feels great. This is what the aftermat of a crisis fells like - crises and storms, may be...

Good evening - I have been and donated blood this evening - the first time for a very long time, after having some difficulties doing it the last few times I tried, but I decided to give it another go and it worked well.

I dashed off after, without staying for my drink and biscuit, so I could get the bus....ran.....but just missed it, so ended up getting a cab home instead - £14

Now catching up with my coffee and something to eat, then I need to do the housework before the cleaner comes tomorrow. Survey is also being done on this house tomorrow for our buyers, so needs to be fairly tidy!

Well done you - well not the £14 for a cab of course.

Hope the survey goes well tomorrow

Thanks - I had made the decision that if I was rejected today, I wouldn't try again. I was a bit apprehensive, therefore, but it all went beautifully, and I will def go again in a few months.
