Cornhill direct; warning!

I recently received a renewal notice, for contents insurance, from Cornhill Direct.
To renew I didn't need to do anything & insurance would carry on as before.
However, on closer examination, my monthly payment had gone up a full 4 times! On phoning, I was told that my post code had been re-assessed & I was now living in a 'high risk' area - absolute rubbish!
When I queried this I was asked if there had been any earthquakes near me in last 5 years!!! I live in the country in private estate, behind electronically controlled gates & cctv!
Although I had been insured, with them, for years, they were not the least bit concerned when I cancelled!
So, beware, & check before filing it under, 'No further action required!'
